Editor's note: Federal Career Connection (FCC) is a sub-program of Career Network Ministry (CNM). Any updates or guidance from CNM regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19), FCC will follow in the same way.

Amidst concerns surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to let you know how Career Network Ministry is responding.

Our leadership team is carefully and continually monitoring this situation. At the present time, CNM meetings are still being conducted. However, we will be evaluating this decision on a week-by-week basis. CNM’s Meetup page is the primary place for you to receive information about meetings. We are committed to doing everything we can to provide a safe environment for all our participants and the surrounding community.

While we are committed to supporting job seekers and always want you to feel welcome at CNM, if you are feeling sick or running a fever, the best thing to do is to stay home!

We encourage everyone to take certain steps to protect themselves and others from the coronavirus, flu, and other illnesses, including

  • Washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Using hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available.
  • Not touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoiding close contact with people who are sick.
  • Covering your cough or sneeze.
  • Staying home if you are sick.
  • Disinfecting objects and surfaces regularly.

In addition, we encourage everyone attending CNM to take commonsense precautions and consider creative interactions like elbow bumping instead of handshaking.

McLean Bible Church is taking extra cleaning precautions at this time to make all gatherings as safe as possible, including

  • Wiping down all common area touchpoints (e.g., doors, light switches, countertops, etc.) throughout the day with an EPA certified disinfectant.
  • Placing hand sanitizers in common areas throughout the buildings.
  • Performing added in-depth cleaning of our facilities on a regular basis which will likely involve closing MBC buildings on certain weekdays.
