DOD LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE FOR CIVILIAN CAREERS

By Alex Harrington, Executive Director

The Department of Defense recently launched a new website providing job seekers with a better understanding of DoD civilian employment opportunities.

DoD Civilian Careers makes it easier for job seekers to find and learn about the many different career occupations under their Civilian Job Categories page, including career opportunities in cyber, information technology, financial management, acquisition and contracting, engineering, administrative management, etc.

Job seekers can also search DoD careers by location or defense employers to find out how their experience translates into a career with the DoD.

Additionally, the website hosts an interactive Job Exploration Tool helping job seekers find the right job fit by allowing them to review different career paths and current job openings based upon their inputs on the following five categories: 1) Experience, 2) Interest, 3) Education, 4) Degree, and 5) Credentials.

Whether you’re working in a nonprofit, the private sector, a separating or retiring veteran, military spouse, a student, or recent graduate, or even a current Federal employee, this website will be a helpful tool to aid you in your job search.

Job seekers can also learn more about Defense jobs at the following sites:
