GET INFORMED ON THE BEST PLACES TO WORK IN THE FEDERAL SECTOR

By Alex Harrington, Program Director

When considering Federal employment, it is best to know which federal agencies have high employee engagement and effective leadership. The best resource to use is the Partnership for Public Service’s “Best Places to Work in the Federal Government” annual rankings.

On June 29, the nonpartisan, nonprofit Partnership for Public Service and global management consulting firm Boston Consulting Group released the 2020 Best Places to Work in the Federal Government rankings, which is rooted in federal employees’ responses to the Office of Personnel Management's annual Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey.

For the ninth consecutive year, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) clinched the top spot — out of 17 large agencies — in the Best Places to Work ranking among large federal agencies. NASA’s employee engagement score was nearly 87% in 2020.

At the bottom of the 17 large agencies is the Department of Homeland Security, ranked last for the ninth straight year with a 61% 2020 engagement score.

So, before applying for that next federal job, be sure to check out the best 2020 Best Places to Work in the Federal Government!
