Alex Harrington currently serves as an Operations Performance Manager, HR Policy and Program Directorate, U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Throughout his 28+ years of federal service, he has gained extensive expertise in team building, workforce development, talent acquisition, and career coaching and mentoring.
Outside government, Alex is a Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) and Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) and a member with the National Career Development Association. And he is currently the Program Director for Federal Career Connection, Inc., that operates exclusively to provide individuals in career transition with the best insights and techniques on how to search and apply for fulfilling careers in the Federal government.
Alex served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps and is a veteran of the Persian Gulf War. Alex is also a published author and avid blogger for cancer patients, caregivers, and survivors. He lives in Northern Virginia with his wife, Teresa, a native of Vancouver, British Columbia.
